Special interests: Chinese and Silk Road art and archaeology with a research specialty in music archaeology. Teaches courses in Chinese, Japanese, Indian, and “World” art and architecture. Recipient of the Marquis Distinguished Teaching Award and the Thomas Roy and Lura Forrest Jones Lecture Award.
